Press: HackerRank Widens Global Reach With Infusion From Japan's Recruit

Written By Guest Contributor | July 14, 2015

HackerRank, a fast-growing Palo Alto, Calif., company that helps corporations find top technical talent, is widening its global reach by attracting a $7.5 million infusion from the venture-capital arm of a major Japanese human-resources company, Recruit Holdings.
HackerRank is best-known for its online coding contests, which attract thousands of engineers from around the world. Top-performing contestants are highly in demand for corporate jobs. HackerRank collects placement fees from companies such as Amazon, Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase and Wal-Mart, in return for identifying these coding stars and opening the way for corporate recruiters to pursue them.
